Perpetual Oil and Gas visit clients in South East Asia!

Our oil and gas division have just got back from a week tour visiting clients in many locations.  The first day was in Malaysia spent with 2 key clients, unearthed numerous senior positions including senior petrophysicists, geophysicists and drilling engineers/superintendants! They then went to Kuala Lumpur with the first meeting being in the splendid Petronas Towers, which was gearing up for the World Gas Conference and on a large scale.  Another prosperous day discussing client needs for both Malaysian and internationally experienced petrophysicists, geologists and reservoir engineers.  The focus on dealing with a few clients but concentrating on a quality approach with key roles was well received and there is a need we are looking forward delivering to.
 
Their success didn’t stop there, managing to spend some more quality time with key clients and candidates in both Indonesia and Dubai, with a fundamental focus on understanding company cultures and candidate motivations.
 
Main message from the trip is that a need for key individuals to not only be part of the clients dynamic, multi-project environment but also set the tone for the long term culture.  Hence the reason for meeting candidates alongside clients.  By doing this Perpetual really got to grips with measuring the cultural fit, paving the way for successful long term recruitment and development of existing relationships.
